Attendance Corner - Everything you need to know!!
Let's Talk About Punctuality............
School starts promptly at 8:30 am. Bell rings at 8:25. Students are considered tardy when they arrive any time after 8:30. Tardies are expected to be infrequent and/or non-recurring.
What is an excused tardy?
Examples of excused tardys include illness, medical appointments verified with doctor's note, court appointments verified with a note, etc.
What is an unexcused tardy?
Examples of an unexcused tardy include overslept, missing the bus, an unspecified appointment with no verification, personal reasons, etc.
Students who are over thirty minutes late without a verifiable reason are considered truant!
Attendance letters are generated after 3 days of unexcused tardies.
Bottom line: Your student needs to be on time for school to have optimal success. As always, please call or email our office to let us know when your student is going to be late! 😉

A description of the approach:
The Nurtured Heart Approach® is a relationship-focused methodology founded in The 3 Stands™ for helping people build their Inner Wealth® and use their intensity in successful ways. It is a powerful way of recognizing and magnifying positive qualities in all children while facilitating parenting and classroom success. The essence of the Approach is a set of core methodologies originally developed for working with the most difficult children. It has an impact on every child, including those who are challenged behaviorally, socially, and/or academically. The Nurtured Heart Approach has been observed to create transformative changes in children diagnosed with ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Reactive Attachment Disorder, Autism, and other behavioral, emotional, and anxiety-related challenges. This approach has often been observed to reduce the need for traditional mental health and medical interventions.
